Our first proper stop on the pilgrimage north was a great little spot called middle creek. We discovered this place a while ago while exploring around Agnes Water.

You can leave the boat in the water here and there are plenty of fishing opportunities nearby, including Bustard Head which apparently fishes pretty well. Unfortunately we didn’t bring enough boat fuel so we were confined to the creek.

We found a pretty fishy hole in the creek that went to 5m deep from 80cm and was surrounded by rock shelf. We dragged a few out of there, and got a few feeds of crabs.
